Oh and then she pulls this expression, that even Kerchak can’t say no to and ends up backing down in the end:ģ. She’s just about the only gorilla not afraid to stand up to him. And she doesn’t back down either, but stays firm in her convictions and doesn’t let him intimidate her. She stands up to Kerchak, a 200kg-ish Silverback gorilla who’s at least twice her size (par for the norm for gorillas). The way she snarls up at the leopard, showing impressive canines, and does that little nod thing afterward? Yeah, I would look elsewhere for my next meal, if I were you, Sabor.Ģ. Sure, she’s sweet and all, but you really don’t want to get on the wrong side of her canines when she’s protecting someone she loves, especially baby Tarzan. Unlike most of the rest of the major characters (Kerchak, Tarzan, Jane, Terk et al), she isn’t written about as much in fanfiction (and no I personally don’t include the weirder, more disturbing fetish ones. I was talking with about how underappreciated Kala was as a character in Disney’s Tarzan and got inspired to make this post, because she is just that awesome and deserves more recognition.
